About Us

ASIA CATAMARANS, formerly Composite Yacht Constructions, was started in 2000 by Swiss-born carpenter and sailor Roger Diggelmann. Fluent in Thai, Roger has trained his team of Thai workers and honed their skills over the years to achieve a high level of finish and structural integrity in boats built for local and overseas markets.

In 2012, Roger found a business partner in Australian boat designer, builder & sailor Alan Carwardine, who had designed & built his own ‘Stealth’ performance sports boat & the first of his Stealth catamaran design.

Alan was halfway through the build of his 2nd  Stealth “Sidewinder” cat when work commitments brought him to Asia & the need to find a competent boat builder to finish it off.

The client/customer turned into a 50/50 partnership, creating Asia Catamarans.

It didn’t take long for the Stealth name to attract interest. The new lightweight design was turning heads on the race course and proving to be a fierce competitor in the local racing scene. The boats are fast but beautifully laid out to cruise the tropical waters comfortably and for the adventurist to do serious blue water cruising.
