Say welcome to “Stealth Mode”

Dreams to come true.

Asia Catamarans launch another Stealth Performance Catamaran, a 13.2, aptly named “Stealth Mode”, with the Australian owner here to meet his new boat.

After a few days of showers and high winds, the day of launch for Stealth Mode could not have been better.

The Gods were kind. There was no wind for the lift, and it was sunny in Phuket.

The 4 am shuffle to the water’s edge before sunrise, followed by a quick breakfast at the local minimart. Stealth Mode was ready to hit the water. The lift went as smoothly as always, to no surprise to Roger from Asia Catamarans.

The rig was installed in place.  Then the blessing to Buddha.

Motoring out into the open bay of Chalong, the owner, Steve Humphries from Australia, could not have been happier.

As he later said, “This has been a 20-year dream to have a performance cat”.

The day was spent checking systems, hooking up the electrics and enjoying the moment.

Day 2,

Out for test sailing and tensioning the rig. The winds were good, with a consistent 15 knots and a few 20 knot puffs to liven things up. Stealth Mode performed well with little effort to get her going. Steve was impressed with the handling and how she felt, lively, balanced, and stable.

Stealth mode features the complete race package, including Doyle’s Stratis film Main and Jib, Stratis cruising Jib, Code O, and two kites.

The Plan!

Steve & Stealth Mode will cruise around the local Phuket waters for a week and then later in the year make her way back to Australia, ready to hit the scene in Brisbane, QLD.

Christmas is already planned for Steve and his Family.
